My partner and I knew we wanted to challenge the traditional parent-child power dynamic, but felt isolated in our approach.

One fall day in 2022, I stumbled upon therapist Rythea Lee’s content. She was talking about this philosophy called “non-coercive, collaborative parenting”. I was blown away!

I slid into her DMs (in true para-social fashion) and a collaborative friendship was born.

We have now produced dozens of episodes featuring incredible thought leaders in this philosophy!

Your Kids Don’t Suck is one of my passion projects. It is a 100% free resource and available wherever you get your podcasts.

YKDS is a talk show that challenges mainstream parenting narratives, and explores a deeply connected and respectful approach to raising kids.

Hosted by me and my dear friend and colleague Rythea Lee, and featuring a ton of wise and interesting guests, we dive into topics like non-coercive, collaborative parenting, emotional regulation, re-parenting, neurodivergence, trauma, healing our inner child, how to break free from harmful parenting cycles, and so much more.

YKDS is fun, punchy, vulnerable, & exploratory!

YKDS is for parents who believe that kids don’t need to be “fixed” or controlled, but have an intuition that what they need is to be understood.

By questioning traditional discipline methods and embracing a relationship-based approach, our podcast aims to help parents shift their perspective, reduce power struggles, and build deeper, more joyful connections with their children.

You could be totally new to this mindset or deep inside of the journey to become a YKDS listener!
