Couples therapy in Ontario

Your relationship is asking for care. If you keep having the same argument, feel distant after becoming parents, or are trying to repair a hurt, you do not have to figure it all out alone. We can slow the cycle down and look at what each of you needs, without making either person the problem.

How we work together

I bring a direct, compassionate approach to relationship patterns, drawing on attachment-focused work and my training in Relational Life Therapy (RLT). We can notice when criticism, defensiveness, or withdrawal takes over and practice ways to respond with more honesty, accountability, and connection. My practice welcomes neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ couples, blended families, and people whose relationships are shaped by the wider systems around them. We'll talk first about what brings you here and whether working together feels like a fit.

Insurance FAQ

Will my plan pay for couples therapy?

Coverage varies by employer and plan. Ask your insurer whether your plan reimburses psychotherapy with a Registered Psychotherapist (RP), whether couples sessions and virtual sessions qualify, whether there is a referral requirement, and what your annual and per-visit limits are. Please confirm before booking; I can't guarantee reimbursement.

Do you bill insurance directly?

No. Payment is by credit card, and you receive a digital receipt to submit to your insurer. Third-party billing isn't available.

Can we use both partners' benefits?

Ask your insurer how it handles joint sessions and whose name should appear on the receipt. Don't assume both plans will reimburse the same session.
